Art
has always held a passion for Phyllis Brady. She attended the Academy
of Art in San Francisco and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. After having worked as a visual display
stylist for Macy's and Robinson's in Southern California, she received
a "Certified Florist" credential from Solano College and
then freelanced in the Napa Valley and the East Bay for three years.
In 1994, she founded Twigs & Ivy Floral Studios
in San Ramon. Phyllis is a college instructor at Las Positas Community College,in the Horticulture Dept. teaching floristry classes and offers Wedding Floral Design classes at her studio.
She is frequently a "Guest Artist,"
for the area Garden Clubs. Her work appears in the annual "Bouquets to Art' in San Francisco.
She works closely with the Design Center at Centex Homes providing
arrangements for their Grand Openings and maintains close working
relationships with country clubs, wineries, restaurants and private
clients throughout the Tri-Valley area with on-going participation with
Art Organizations, Garden Clubs, and Wedding Assocations.
Phyllis is in the process of designing a new line of custom made
ceramic vases and tabletop ware.
Twigs & Ivy gives
back to the community through her involvement with local Animal rescue organizations. Phyllis would like to thank her clients and staff, for she
could not work at her life's passion without them. click
